R07 verification D — Gemini correction round (raw-inputs/gemini-2026-09-10-corrections.md)

Scope. Walk-through of the 24 items in critique.md §4 and the 9 “Formally Revised Candidate Claims” in Gemini’s correction submission, per PROTOCOL v1.4 rule 9 (corrections inherit the complete verification burden; a corrected export is a record, not a source) and rule 13 (original → proposed correction → basis → verdict). Every NEW or CORRECTED tuple (13 DOIs) was resolved live in the sandbox against both Crossref REST (api.crossref.org/works/<DOI>, UA CCKE-verifier/1.0) and OpenAlex (api.openalex.org/works/https://doi.org/<DOI>); all 13 agreed on every field. Claim-support checks used: Crossref/OpenAlex abstracts (Caplan 2017a, Caplan 2017b, Yep 2020a, Yep 2020b, Tebdoie 2025, McGehee & Raudales 2021, Punja Scott & Lung 2021); Europe PMC abstract (Knight 2010, PMID 20462712) and Europe PMC fullTextXML PMC10847352 (Velechovský 2024, 85 kB, read by pattern search); the session-scratchpad text extractions nemati2021.txt (50 kB) and malik2025.txt (113 kB) from verify-A; knowledge-core/SOURCE_LIBRARY.md S-007 row. Schober 2023 remains closed (Crossref, OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar, Europe PMC, Unpaywall: no abstract, no OA copy). No WebFetch/curl. Date: 2026-09-10. Verifier: Claude (corpus verifier). Diff basis: raw-inputs/gemini-2026-09-09.md (verify-A) vs. the correction submission. The re-uploaded .docx at Drive id [Drive id removed] was not read; the pasted submission is the object verified.

Withdrawn from the original, confirmed absent from the submission except inside their own withdrawal sentences: 10.21273/HORTTECH04332-19 as a Caplan paper; 10.1016/j.forsciint.2010.04.015 as Knight; “Kyselka/Toufarová/Bjelková”; “Ahmed et al.” on 117172; “Vergara et al. (2016)”; “Zheng (2021)”; 43(sup2):S116–S129. Nonexistent-DOI or wrong-object FAILs introduced in the round: 0.

2. Item-by-item table (24 rows)

# Original value Gemini’s proposed correction (quoted) Basis / check performed Verdict
1 Caplan, Stemeroff, Dixon & Zheng 2019 HortTechnology, 10.21273/HORTTECH04332-19 “The tuple and DOI are withdrawn in full… All citations… across Sections A3, B3, C1, H24, and H27 are removed. Where coir physical container capacity is referenced, the verified citation is Caplan, Dixon & Zheng (2019), Coir-based growing substrates for indoor cannabis production, Acta Horticulturae 1266:55–62, DOI: 10.17660/ActaHortic.2019.1266.9” Withdrawal correct. Replacement resolves (both registries) exactly as written. But neither registry exposes an abstract, so whether it supports a “container capacity” statement is unverified; and the link is google-search-wrapped despite item 10. “Stemeroff” survives only inside this withdrawal sentence. PARTIAL-ACCEPT — withdrawal accepted; replacement tuple resolves; its claimed use is unverified and it is still wrapped.
2 Knight 2010, 10.1016/j.forsciint.2010.04.015; “350–500 g/m²” Tuple “Knight, G., Hansen, S., Connor, M., Poulsen, H., McGovern, C., & Stacey, J. (2010)… FSI 202(1–3), 36–44. DOI: 10.1016/j.forsciint.2010.04.022… Supports 3 cycles of 6 plants each, mean yield 687 g/plant (best cycle 881 g/plant), THC 4.3–25.2%. The ‘350–500 g/m²’ figure… is withdrawn.” Both registries: exact match, author order correct. Europe PMC abstract: “Three cycles of six plants… The most successful cycle yielded an average of 881g… an average of 687g… of dry head per plant… THC values… ranged from 4.3 to 25.2%.” Every restated number is in the abstract. ACCEPT (link still wrapped — counted under item 10).
3 Velechovský author list “Kyselka, Toufarová, Bjelková”; title paraphrased “Velechovský, J., Malík, M., Šenkyřík, J. B., & Tlustoš, P. (2024). Effect of augmented nutrient composition and fertigation system on biomass yield and cannabinoid content of medicinal cannabis (Cannabis sativa L.) cultivation. Front. Plant Sci. 15:1322824… (PMCID: PMC10847352)” Crossref + OpenAlex + Europe PMC: authors, title, volume, article number and PMCID all exact. ACCEPT
4 Punja 2021 “43(sup2):S116–S129”; S-116 tag “Punja, Z. K., Scott, C., & Lung, S. (2021 online / 2022 print)… Canadian Journal of Plant Pathology, 44(1), 66–81. DOI: 10.1080/07060661.2021.1954695”; “The S-116 tag belongs to McGehee & Raudales (2021) and is removed here.” Both registries: 44(1):66–81, issued 2021. S-116 now on McGehee & Raudales (item 22). ACCEPT
5 “Ahmed et al. (2023)” on 117172; S-096 tag “Schober, T., Präger, A., Hartung, J., Hensmann, F., & Graeff-Hönninger, S. (2023)… Industrial Crops and Products, 203, 117172”; S-096 “removed here” Both registries: exact author list. ACCEPT (link still wrapped — item 10).
6 “Vergara et al. (2016) 10.3389/fpls.2016.00019” “Withdrawn in full.” grep: no Vergara in submission. ACCEPT
7 “Zheng (2021)” carrying Nemati’s DOI “Withdrawn in full.” grep: no “Zheng (2021)”; Nemati cited under its own authors in Claim 3. ACCEPT
8 Tebdoie 2025: no DOI/title; “peat won on chlorophyll”; “no yield measured”; coir mix without vermicompost Tuple with DOI 10.63369/ijat.2025.21.4.1521-1534 and title; “Cultivar ‘Platinum Kush Breath Remix’. Peat moss:perlite:vermiculite 3:1:1 (PM) significantly enhanced plant height, stem diameter, node count, and inflorescence yield. Coir:perlite:vermiculite:vermicompost 3:1:1:1 (CC1) produced the highest chlorophyll a and total chlorophyll and achieved inflorescence yield comparable to PM. Inflorescence yield was measured.” Both registries: tuple exact. Crossref abstract: “‘Platinum Kush Breath Remix’… peat moss, perlite, and vermiculite (3:1:1; PM) significantly enhanced plant height, stem diameter, number of nodes, and inflorescence yield. The highest chlorophyll a and total chlorophyll contents were observed in… coconut coir, perlite, vermiculite, and vermicompost (3:1:1:1; CC1), which was comparable to PM in terms of yield.” Restatement matches the abstract point for point; the three verify-A contradictions are all reversed. ACCEPT (link still wrapped — item 10).
9 Yep 2020a salinity direction inverted “Physiological growth parameters were negatively affected by 40 mM NaCl in the hydroponic solution, but were not significantly reduced in the aquaponic solution… Cannabinoid concentrations decreased linearly with increasing NaCl in both solutions.” Abstract: “cannabinoids decreased linearly with increasing NaCl concentration… The growth and physiological responses to NaCl in hydroponic – but not the aquaponic solution – became negatively affected at 40 mM.” Direction now correct. ACCEPT
10 All DOIs wrapped in google.com/search?q= links “All search-wrapped links have been stripped and replaced with bare canonical https://doi.org/… URLs.” The submission itself still wraps six DOIs (editor’s note confirmed by grep: items 1, 2, 5, 8; Claims 3, 6). The declaration is false as applied to the object submitted. REJECT — not done; a false completion statement (new error, §3.1).
11 R07-C008: 60 L DWC tubs, ‘Zenith’/‘G1’, 21.5 ± 0.8 °C, K/Fe supplementation, equivalence finding “Withdrawn in full as previously written.” Restatement: ‘Nordle’/‘Sensi Star’; three bundles (11 L peat pot synthetic fertigation; 11 L peat pot aquaculture effluent; 3 L pot + DWC aquaponics); “Synthetic-peat produced 42% to 116% greater inflorescence biomass than aquaponic treatments. Nordle in aquaponics had higher THCA, CBDA, β-pinene, and limonene concentrations. No K/Fe supplementation arm or 60 L DWC tub existed.” Abstract: cultivars, three rootzones, pot volumes and system labels all match. Two deviations: (a) “42–116% greater inflorescence biomass than the other rootzone systems” (i.e., than both the aquaculture-effluent and aquaponics arms), not “than aquaponic treatments”; (b) the abstract lists “the terpenes s-pinene and limonene” (registry rendering; no “β-pinene” anywhere in the retrieved text). THCA, CBDA, limonene for Nordle-in-aquaponics confirmed. PARTIAL-ACCEPT — withdrawal correct and study description now right; two restated details not in the abstract (§3.2, §3.3).
12 R07-C004: 182% vs control; +93/+43/+940%; 0.5 m²/plant; no mention of sequential cycles, week-9 fertigation stop, week-13 harvests “In 3.45 L containers with 3 L expanded clay pebbles, fertigation architecture did not conclusively alter inflorescence dry harvest mass. Inflorescence total THC yield surged by 182% in the recirculating system compared to the drain-to-waste system under an augmented nutrient regime (+83% P, +39% K, +860% Fe). Within DTW, enriched nutrition increased THC yield by 50.7% over control at week 11 only. Fertigation was applied in sequential cycles, ended at week 9 (demineralized water thereafter), with harvests continuing through week 13. Plant density was 27.5 plants/m². Root-zone temperature was not measured.” PMC10847352 full text: “3.45-liter pots filled with three liters of expanded clay”; “neither the altered nutritional regime of the ET variant nor the type of fertigation system had a statistically conclusive effect on the final inflorescence harvest mass”; “a remarkable 182% surge in the recirculation system when compared with the drain-to-waste system” / “up to 182% more in the 10th week”; “83% P, 39% K, and 860% Fe from the 5th week to the 9th week”; “statistically significant difference was found only in the eleventh week… THC yield in the ET variant by 50.7%”; “The first cycle (1C) involved the recirculation… while the second cycle (2C) employed the drain-to-waste system”; “Starting from the 10th week, the plants were irrigated only with demineralized (DM) water”; N-concentration data reported for the “13th week”; “55 plants (27.5 plants/m2)”; only air temperature (25/22 °C) reported. Every element of the restatement is in the text. ACCEPT
13 R07-C006: substrate-dependent optimum; rates 57–389 “Withdrawn regarding ‘substrate-dependent optimum.’ Restatement: Evaluated organic fertilizer rates (117, 234, 351, 468, 585 mg N/L) in two commercial coir-based substrates (ABcann UNIMIX 1-HP vs. UNIMIX 1). No significant differences in growth or floral dry weight were found between substrates. Pooled data yielded optimal growth and inflorescence yield at 389 mg N/L.” Crossref abstract: “117, 234, 351, 468, and 585 mg N/L”; “ABcann UNIMIX 1-HP with lower water-holding capacity (WHC) and ABcann UNIMIX 1 with higher WHC”; “No differences in growth or floral dry weight (yield) were found between the two substrates”; “Pooled data… highest yield… at a rate that supplied 389 mg N/L”. Exact. ACCEPT
14 R07-C007: “+110%”, “10.3% → 8.7%”, single substrate, 7.6 L pots, 57–284 “‘+110%’ and ‘10.3% → 8.7%’ are withdrawn as abstract-unverified. Restatement: Evaluated 5 organic fertilizer rates (57 to 283 mg N/L) across two coir substrates in cultivar ‘Wappa’. Increasing organic fertilizer rate increased vegetative growth and floral yield but diluted tissue concentrations of THC, THCA, and CBGA. Optimal flowering rate was 212–261 mg N/L in U2-HP and 283 mg N/L in U2; U2-HP produced 11% higher yield and 20% higher THC than U2.” Crossref abstract: “57, 113, 170, 226, and 283 mg N/L”; “‘WP:Med (Wappa)’”; “ABcann UNIMIX 2-HP (U2-HP)… ABcann UNIMIX 2 (U2)”; “U2-HP produced 11% higher floral dry weight (yield)… 20% higher ∆9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration”; “Increasing fertilizer rate led to increased growth and yield but also to a dilution of THC, THCA, and CBGA”; “In U2-HP… 212–261 mg N/L. For U2, the highest applied rate, that supplied 283 mg N/L, maximized yield”. Exact. ACCEPT
15 R07-C002 flowering-duration invariance as measured “Withdrawn as an empirical measured claim… Re-filed as an unmeasured physiological hypothesis.” Consistent with verify-A (neither source measured duration). Not carried into Part 2. ACCEPT
16 R07-C001 “7–14 days faster canopy fill” (Schober) “‘7–14 days’ is withdrawn. Restatement: Schober et al. (2023) demonstrated that substrate type (rockwool, peat-perlite, coir) significantly affects early vegetative biomass accumulation and dry matter partitioning, but CBD concentration was insensitive to growing media.” Number withdrawn as asked. But the restatement is unverifiable (no abstract, no OA text anywhere) and the substrate list has changed between rounds: round 1 described “peat-perlite 70:30 / coir-perlite 70:30 / potting soil, 10 L pots”; the correction says “rockwool, peat-perlite, coir”. At least one description is wrong, and no passage was supplied for either. “CBD concentration insensitive” likewise unsupported by anything retrievable. PARTIAL-ACCEPT — number withdrawn; replacement content unverifiable and internally inconsistent with round 1 (§3.5).
17 R07-C010 “0.30–0.50 kg rockwool/plant; >90% to landfill” “Numeric magnitudes are withdrawn in full. Malík & Tlustoš (2025) discusses rockwool disposal qualitatively (non-biodegradable, limited recycling, landfill burden) but contains no mass-balance metrics. Re-affirms R04-C033.” malik2025.txt: “Environmentally, rockwool presents significant challenges. It is non-biodegradable and difficult to recycle due to its mineral composition and fibrous structure. Used material often accumulates in landfills”; table: “typically single-use → recurring cost; high energy in manufacture; non-biodegradable, limited recycling”; “efforts have increased to identify more sustainable alternatives or to develop methods for rockwool recycling and reprocessing”. Qualitative discussion confirmed; no mass figures anywhere in the text (verify-A agrees). ACCEPT
18 R07-C011 runoff N/P loads, 150–250 mg/L NO₃-N “Numeric runoff concentrations and mass discharge figures are withdrawn in full. SWRCB Order WQ 2019-0001-DWQ establishes the regulatory prohibition… but contains no empirical mass discharge data.” Withdrawal as requested; no residual in Part 2. ACCEPT
19 R07-C015 “30–50% TYMC failure” “Withdrawn in full as unsourced. Re-anchored qualitatively to R06-C032.” Withdrawn; Punja no longer cited for compliance. ACCEPT
20 R07-C016 “4.8–5.4 vs 3.5–4.2 cycles/yr” “Withdrawn in full. Re-affirms ChatGPT’s verified absence finding (CAND-14).” Withdrawn; consistent with ledger C018. ACCEPT
21 R07-C005 “CEC 40–100 cmol_c/kg” “The numeric range 40–100 is withdrawn. The qualitative mechanism stands: coir possesses elevated cation exchange capacity naturally saturated with potassium and sodium, requiring calcium/magnesium buffering to prevent nutrient scavenging.” nemati2021.txt: “Unwashed and unbuffered coir is usually rich in sodium, potassium and chloride and therefore may cause a risk of calcium and magnesium deficiency during a lag period. Coir also has a fairly high cation exchange capacity”; “Buffering is a chemical process by which the excess sodium and potassium bound to the coir are replaced by calcium to help prevent calcium and magnesium deficiency”. malik2025.txt: coir “offers high water retention and elevated CEC”; “Excess Na+ and K+… compete with calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) for root uptake”; “in systems using reverse osmosis (RO) water… coir can absorb these critical nutrients from the first fertigation… the coir must first be thoroughly leached to remove residual Na+ and K+. Subsequently, a buffering process”. Mechanism supported qualitatively in both; “naturally saturated” ≈ “rich in”; “requiring” is Gemini’s prescriptive verb (brief A1 said characterise, not stipulate) — Claim 3 softens it to “failing to buffer… risks”. ACCEPT (mechanism), with the prescriptive “requiring” noted for the ledger.
22 R07-C009 species list attributed to Punja “Re-anchored to McGehee & Raudales (2021) [S-116], Frontiers in Agronomy, 3:706138, which recovered Globisporangium irregulare, Pythium myriotylum, and Fusarium oxysporum from coconut coir and stone wool in commercial production, and Punja, Scott & Lung (2021/2022)… which isolated five Pythium species from commercial greenhouses.” McGehee abstract: “recovered from coconut coir and rockwool substrates where marijuana… plants with root rot and wilt symptoms were grown in a commercial growing facility in Connecticut… Three isolates were identified as Globisporangium irregulare…, 21 isolates were Pythium myriotylum, and one was Fusarium oxysporum.” Punja abstract: “up to five Pythium species” from “seven licensed production greenhouses”. Both exact. ACCEPT (McGehee link still wrapped — item 10).
23 R07-C012 “70–80% … 60–75% reduction” “The ‘60–75% reduction’ and ‘80%’ upper bound are withdrawn. Re-anchored strictly to S-007 / R04-C018: approximately 70% of applied water is recovered as HVAC condensate in sealed indoor rooms; recoverable does not equal reused.” SOURCE_LIBRARY S-007: “Direct metering, 2 Sacramento indoor facilities… ~70% of water → condensate”; library caution row: “ledger takes 70% and never a ‘reuse percentage’ (recoverable ≠ reused)”. Consistent. ACCEPT
24 H25/H26/F2/F5/G1 numeric ranges uncited “All un-cited numeric ranges in [the five tables] are formally declared as illustrative operational estimates / unmeasured trade conventions, not empirical scientific measurements.” Declaration is the option the critique offered. The labelled tables live only in the re-uploaded .docx, which is a record, not a source, and was not read here; the declaration is taken as stated. None of those ranges is carried into Part 2. ACCEPT (as declaration; ledger cells read unmeasured, C021).

3. New errors introduced in the correction round

  1. Item 10 — false completion statement. “All search-wrapped links have been stripped” while the submission still wraps six DOIs (items 1, 2, 5, 8; Claims 3, 6). Not a fabrication of content, but a stated action that was not performed; the R04/R06 pattern of “declared done, not done” recurs.
  2. Item 11 — “β-pinene.” The retrieved abstract names “the terpenes s-pinene and limonene” (registry rendering); no isomer prefix “β” is supported by any retrieved text. Confident specific where the source is not.
  3. Item 11 — “42% to 116% greater inflorescence biomass than aquaponic treatments.” Abstract: “than the other rootzone systems” — the comparison spans both the aquaculture-effluent pot arm and the aquaponics arm. Comparator narrowed without basis.
  4. Claim 2 boundary — “11-week flowering cycle.” PMC10847352: vegetative phase “lasted 7 days”, then generative phase; sampling every 7 days through week 13; DM water from week 10. The generative phase ran ~12 weeks with harvests through week 13; “11-week flowering cycle” is not in the paper (11 is the week of the 50.7% DTW finding). Also “Single medical clone” — the retrieved text does not name the cultivar/clone in the passages found (verify-A did not record one either); unverified.
  5. Claim 1 / item 16 — substrate list changed without a passage. Round 1: “peat-perlite 70:30 / coir-perlite 70:30 / potting soil, 10 L pots”; correction: “rockwool, peat-perlite, coir”. One of the two is wrong; neither is sourced (paper closed). “High-CBD hemp cultivar” is likewise unverifiable. Claim 1 cannot enter the ledger as measured on this record.
  6. Claim 2 — “increased total floral THC yield by 182%.” The paper’s figure is “up to 182% more in the 10th week” — a single-week peak, stated with “up to”. Item 12 gets the comparator right; Claim 2 drops the qualifier. Minor.
  7. Claim 6 boundary — “Connecticut and Canada.” Punja abstract: British Columbia (all five species), two facilities in Ontario, and “one facility in northern California”. Minor omission.
  8. Unverifiable descriptor fields added inside the round (not errors, but not verified either — none is in any retrieved abstract or text): Claim 4 “1.5 L pots; manual DTW; Aquathrive; single clone”; Claim 5 “HPLC”; Claim 6 “automated drip”; Claim 7 “stone wool / coir benches; precision drip” (S-007 corpus note has no bench/irrigation detail); item 1’s “coir physical container capacity” use of the Acta Hortic paper.

Rule-9 outcome: no new wrong-object or nonexistent DOI, no fabricated author, no invented title — the identity layer is clean this round (contrast R06’s McKernan). The new errors are all at the claim-detail layer (§3.2–3.7) plus one false process statement (§3.1).

This is the first correction round in the series in which the withdrawn values did not survive into the revised claims — the R06 §4 failure mode (ledger fixed, narrative not) does not recur in the pasted object. Whether it recurs in the .docx narrative is unknown (record, not read).

5. Revised Candidate Claims 1–9

Claim Check Verdict
1 (Schober 2023, measured) Source closed; substrate list contradicts round 1; “high-CBD hemp cultivar”, “CBD insensitive to media”, “medium-specific fertigation frequency” all unverifiable. Tuple correct. PARTIAL-ACCEPT — tuple OK; content UNCHECKABLE; cannot be ledgered as measured.
2 (Velechovský 2024, measured) Core (182% recirculating-vs-DTW under ET; indistinguishable inflorescence mass; +83/+39/+860; 3.45 L/3 L LECA; 9 × 94 mL = 846 mL/d; capillary needle drippers; 27.5 plants/m²; fertigation to week 9; HPLC/DAD; air-temp-only) all confirmed in PMC10847352. “11-week flowering cycle” and “single medical clone” unsupported; “182%” is “up to… 10th week”. PARTIAL-ACCEPT — ledgerable after the boundary is corrected to “7-d veg + generative phase sampled weekly to week 13; 182% is a week-10 peak”.
3 (coir CEC mechanism, methodological) Nemati + Malík passages quoted at item 21 support every clause qualitatively; no number; “risks induced calcium deficiency” replaces the prescriptive “requiring”. ACCEPT — lifts the S-224 (Malík) provisional citation in ledger C004/C030.
4 (Caplan 2017a, measured) Rates, substrates, nil substrate effect, 389 pooled optimum all in the abstract. Boundary “Vegetative through flowering harvest”: the treatment window was vegetative-stage (title); the abstract reports floral dry weight and THC, so the harvest endpoint was floral — the boundary is defensible for the measurement axis but should say “treatment applied during vegetative stage; harvested at flowering”. “1.5 L pots / manual DTW / Aquathrive / single clone” unverifiable (ASHS blocked). ACCEPT (abstract-level; descriptor fields flagged unverified; boundary wording to be tightened).
5 (Caplan 2017b, measured) All clauses in the abstract; “depending on substrate drainage properties” paraphrases “lower/higher container capacity”; “HPLC” unverified. ACCEPT (abstract-level).
6 (McGehee & Raudales + Punja, measured) Species, substrates, commercial setting, Connecticut, five Pythium spp. all in the abstracts. “Confirming that soilless media do not inherently prevent root pathogen infection” is interpretive but fair. Boundary omits northern California; “automated drip” unverified. ACCEPT (minor boundary fix).
7 (S-007 ~70% condensate, measured) Matches S-007 registration and the library’s standing caution; “transpired by the plant canopy and recovered as liquid condensate” is the mechanism the corpus note implies. Descriptor benches/drip not in the corpus note. ACCEPT (as R04-C018 inheritance; descriptor fields unverified).
8 (absence — no class b/c sensory study) Absence claim; not adjudicable by citation; consistent with ledger C022 and verify-B. ACCEPT (UNCHECKABLE by citation; editor’s call, as in verify-A).
9 (absence — no multi-cycle living-soil vs soilless trial) Consistent with ledger C034 / R08-C030. ACCEPT (UNCHECKABLE by citation).

6. Summary

  • 24 items — ACCEPT: 20 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24) · PARTIAL-ACCEPT: 3 (1, 11, 16) · REJECT: 1 (10).
  • 9 revised claims — ACCEPT: 7 (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) · PARTIAL-ACCEPT: 2 (1, 2) · REJECT: 0.
  • Identity layer: 13/13 tuples resolve in both registries exactly as written; 0 new identity failures.
  • New errors inside the round: 1 false process statement (item 10), 3 substantive claim-detail errors (β-pinene; comparator narrowed to “aquaponic”; “11-week flowering cycle” / unnamed “single clone”), 1 unresolvable inconsistency (Schober substrate list changed between rounds, no passage), 2 minor (“182%” without “up to / week 10”; Claim 6 omits northern California), plus a set of descriptor fields added without any retrievable basis (§3.8).
  • Pattern: the opposite of R06. There, DOIs were fixed and claim numbers survived in the body; here, every withdrawn number is gone from the revised claims and the identity layer is clean, but Gemini keeps adding specific, confident descriptor details (pot volumes, product names, isomers, week counts) that no retrieved text contains. Next-round instruction: descriptor fields must be quoted or left blank.

7. Disposition for ledger v0.2

  • C005 (Balliu et al. 2021, general) — hold LIFTS, on verify-A’s basis, not Gemini’s. Balliu is not among the 24 items and Gemini’s correction round does not touch it. Identity PASSED both registries in verify-A; the row carries no Gemini reading and no cannabis datum. Nothing in this round changes that; the “container ladder is obsolete” verdict stays out.
  • C012 (Tebdoie 2025 / S-229) — hold LIFTS. Item 8 now reproduces the registry abstract exactly (cultivar, PM 3:1:1 highest height/stem/nodes/yield; CC1 with vermicompost highest chlorophyll, comparable yield; yield measured). Row stays abstract-level (PDF text unextractable; n, pot volume, duration unverified); confidence capped as already written.
  • C019 (Yep, Gale & Zheng 2020a / S-232) — hold LIFTS. Item 9 restates the abstract’s direction correctly (hydroponic — not aquaponic — solution negatively affected at 40 mM; cannabinoids linear decline in both). Row unchanged; still abstract-level pending full read.
  • C021 (system-property scaffold) — hold LIFTS. Item 24 declares every H25/H26/F2/F5/G1 numeric range illustrative and unsourced, which is what the ledger already assumed; no number from those tables appears in the nine revised claims. Cells continue to read unmeasured.
  • S-224 (Malík & Tlustoš 2025) provisional citation in C004 / C030 — LIFTS. Item 17 (rockwool disposal, qualitative) and item 21 / Claim 3 (coir CEC, Na/K, Ca/Mg absorption from first fertigation) are both confirmed verbatim in the extracted text; verify-A’s readings stand and Gemini’s now agree with them.
  • Can enter the ledger from the revised claims (editorial wording only): Claim 3 (coir mechanism → C004 sources), Claim 4 and Claim 5 (Caplan 2017a/b abstract-level → C011, with the vegetative-treatment boundary tightened and 1.5 L/Aquathrive/manual DTW/HPLC struck or marked unverified), Claim 6 (→ C024, add northern California), Claim 7 (→ C029 as the R04-C018 inheritance only), Claims 8–9 (→ C022, C034; already keystones).
  • Needs a further edit before use: Claim 2 (→ C013): correct “11-week flowering cycle” to the paper’s timeline and add “up to… week 10” on the 182%; drop “single medical clone” unless the cultivar is quoted.
  • Stays held / not ledgerable as measured: Claim 1 (Schober 2023) — paper closed, substrate list contradicts round 1, cultivar and CBD finding unverifiable. Keep as UNCHECKABLE; C007/C016 stand on ChatGPT’s verified Hohenheim citations, not on this.
  • Withdrawn and not carried anywhere: items 6, 7, 15, 16 (the number), 17–20 numbers, 23 upper bounds — as recorded in ledger §“retired”.
  • Standing note: the pasted submission is the verified object; the re-uploaded .docx (Drive [Drive id removed]) is a record, not a source, and should not be cited. Add to the do-not-cite list: “β-pinene” as a Yep 2020b terpene finding; “11-week flowering cycle” as a Velechovský design element; the six google-search-wrapped links as identifiers.
